Batters may eventually pick that pitch up especially since you swing your arm back in your windup. That would look a lot different than other pitches with the ball tucked right back in your hand. Another good way to throw it is to bring your thumb up against your pointer finger and turn it over just like your drop, that way your drop and change look the same.
