Bumpy ride, Cessna 152 cross wind landing and wasteland fire

LHKA pattern parctice in C-152 HA-ERM, cross wind about 20 knots. Runway 35, wind from 070 approx. Notice the wasteland fire on short final! After a few rounds, the fire was just beneath, and gave us a rough lift aside the crosswind.

isnt that beyond the crosswind limit in the POH?

In POH it is 12 knots / where the airplane still flies safely /, but it also tells the value is not a limitation.

@flythec152 yes it is... this plane was crashed yesterday. The pilot died :( I don't want to say anything about the cause but we have some ideas about it. I've flied this plane too. It was a nice one

I saw the pictures about the crash. It is sad to hear a fellow pilot die...:( At least we can lear from his tragedy, and in this way it was not a pointless death. RIP
