Only twice in history, has the incumbent President gained seats in the mid-terms ... during the administration of John Quincy Adams, and during Bill Clinton's second term (Newt Gingrich resigned as Speaker as a result). Republicans lost over 100 seats in the mid-tems of Hoover's election. It means nothing clown.
