Chiemi Yeri,Japanese singer sang this song good, but I like better Eatha's.
Chiemi Yeri once was a famous singer in Japan,
and her many songs were very popular among young people.

This song was one of the first I learned when I was in Japan in the 50s. This lady was jewel! Incredible pronunciation and understanding of what she's singing -- a true artist! As an aside, the animal is NOT a racoon! It is a wild dog of Japan. It features as subject in much Japanese folklore. Ii da yo!

I sing this song whenever we have an elderly Japanese patient and their face light up with joy. Thank you for sharing.

@dalordofdaring | My cousin & I used to sing this randomly & we didn't really know the words, so a few years ago I adamantly searched for days trying to find this song... lol. wey Ababa Tesfayé, those were the golden days!! ...how I used to look forward to the Lion King, the German cartoon figure: Pumuckl, & the Japanese circus crew & the kids that were featured on the video of this song... I used to try & spin a basketball after watching the circus guy do it. lol
