@battlehappy I'm not so sure that people can't "distinguish". They know a spade is a spade, journalistic rights or not. She has those rights but it doesn't mean anyone respects her or considers her a journalist even if she does of herself. She can call herself a journalist all she wants. I'm sure some people consider Jayson Blair a journalist, too, including Jayson. Whatever. A rose is a rose is a rose.

@ringrangadongforahol Well said. She can have journalist protection all she want's but it doesn't mean anyone thinks of her as a journalist. More like a sell-out whore who took part in the Bush/Chaney lies to illegally invade a country and many innocent American and Iraqi people have died and suffered over this. People like Judith don't care about that, but decent people do. Nothing she says means anything to anyone who seeks the truth. She has no integrity which means she has NOTHING.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!!! You "american citizens", when finallly we find a journalist with principles, and think that you living in the Land of freedom say that she doesn´'t have right to protect her source. You ringranga are totally wrong: she doesn't have a direct hand in murdering, she has the right and the duty of show all of you murdering. But YOU ARE BLIND, the worst assassine is your CHIEF GEORGE BUSH. But, of course, you thing you have freedom, but you do not have information at all!!!

The thing that I find interesting in the public's response to Judith Miller is the GENERAL inability to distinguish between her (misleading and dangerous) coverage of the Iraq war and her rights as a journalist. We don't just give those rights to the journalists that we like. They are for everyone. Just like I don't make any distinctions between genuine debate and your third-grade rantings.

Her rights as a journalist? If there was any right at all, this woman would currently be serving a prison sentence, along with the other architects of America's act of state terrorism on Iraq.
Her "rights" are of no consequence when measured against the lives of those she had a direct hand in murdering.

That's like saying she shouldn't be able to get an abortion because she committed insurance fraud: The 2 aren't even remotely related.
Dang. It's no wonder this country is in the shape it's in. People don't know how to chew gum and walk at the same time.
