Hakeem had 42 points as the Rockets ripped the Spurs to help the Rockets take game 5. David Robinson had no way of stopping Hakeem. Most of this series Hakeem was doing his damage in the paint. In this game Hakeem was striking with jumpshots. Sam Cassell came off the bench and had a huge game. The Dream was the REAL MVP of the season, as this series has proven. Thought I would celebrate my one year anniversary on youtube with a rare but spectacular performance.

You are totally correct. Hakeem spent his career imposing a superior game on every big man. He did not abuse and misuse as a big thundering center...he just brought more game to the court than any of them. He dismantled Robinson, out did Ewing, Shaq himself admits he was embarrassed by The Dream.

No way. Hakeem was a once in a lifetime talent. Of course there was Shaq, Pat, Zo, Robinson, etc.. but in terms of big man skill there is only one Hakeem. The game was just so natural for him. Players today can learn from him, but can never be him. Besides Ibaka is a little old to become Hakeem. If he started working hard to base his game off Hakeem during his teen years, maybe. But Hakeem is just too good for Ibaka to reach

Those footwork and fade away is SWAG! No wonder Kobe was so good on the post, he learned from one of the best!

man, how I miss Hakeem. other than having great footwork, great moves and a soft touch, he was a athletic freak. He only stood at 6' 10'' and regularly dominated the 7 footers of the league.

What made Hakeem incredible was his amazing footwork for how big he was, most big men seem a little clumsy in the post. this man's Post game was legendary.

Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest offensive and defensive center to live. If they had counted block shots when Wilt started, he be at the top.

and also, that '95 team wasn't as good and strong as the '94 team... That Houston team in '94 won 58 games compared to the '95 team that won only 47. BIG difference. That 95 rockets team was the lowest seed (6) to ever win an NBA title.

wait, so losing 4-0 (aka getting swept) is not getting destroyed? considering the Magic had a better roster and team? you do realize Hakeem took Shaq to school don't you? You even stated Shaq said Hakeem embarrassed him; and everyone knows it for a fact that Shaq can even admit that Hakeem pounded him. Shaq got outplayed by him in all four games. FACT. In that series, Hakeem averaged 33 ppg compared to Shaq's 28 (which is good) but compared to Hakeem; no.
