  • Thank you Rob...We moved away a couple of times, Florida and downstate Delaware, finally came home for good, we love it too,

    thanx,

    Bob & Kitty LaFazia

  • I was ten years old and going to St. Thomas school.

The nuns had over 50 kids in a class, but we learned double what kids learn now. We wore uniforms and didn't step out of line. We still had fun, but students' rights, ADHD, ODBD, ADD, using green ink to correct papers, and all the other educational nonsense had yet to be invented. So we actually learned respect, discipline, delayed gratification, algebra, poetry, grammar, spelling, history, geography, and music.

  • @dumnuts1

I went to St. Thomas too, a lot of years before you...we had small classes, didn't finish their though, went across the street to Charles B. Lore, then Bayard and finished up at Good 'ol Wilmington High...(nuns were to tuff' for me)

  • it used to be a nice city but it got run over by niggaaz~kilmington :D

  • delaware was sure quite in those days LOL ;)

  • Northside

  • Wilmington is pretty rundown now.

  • I always had wondered what Delaware was like a long time ago

  • I LOVE Wilmington DE. It's the best place in the U.S. I only lived there a short time in the late 80s but they were the best years of my life. The people of wilmington are the most genuine people I have ever encountered. I was born and raised in VA but Wilmington is the hometown I wish I could claim as mine.

  • @dumnuts1 I went to public school in the fifties but it was the same. Classes had 35 - 40 kids, and sometimes more! We horsed around and fought and cussed on the playground and at recess, but in class, you could hear a pin drop. NO back talk! Everything in school was 'yes sir and "yes ma'm!"

Now we have millions of kids going around loaded up with high-powered prescription drugs - and for what? These kids are no different from what we were - its all so "big pharma" can make money!

  • @dumnuts1 Care to substantiate that you learned more than myself, who went to St. Thomas in the 1990s? Care to take some comprehensive tests and see who comes out on top?

I'll bet you walked 4 miles in the snow as well?
