According to Frankiehowerd.com this was recorded in the 1940s. Often played by Stewpot on Junior Choice in the early '70s, to Brits of a certain age this song is fondly remembered!

  • my mum used to sing this to me and just out of curiosity i did a search didnt think in a million years id find it! unlucky for my newly born daughter she gonna hear my terrible singing voice! Thanks for the upload brought back some good memories

  • I used to listen to this on childrens favourites in the late 1950s with uncle mac, great fun with frankie at his MADDEST.

  • Does anyone remember the Sword fight gag Frankie told? I remember it being funny and going something like 'He thrust and I parried, I parried and he thrust..' and then a great punch like which eludes me! Any help please send me a message.
