This was NOT the first concert Jarre ever done; he did play 2 or 3 days in the Paris Opera House earlier in 1979 as well as some performances prior to the release of Oxygene,

Also, if Jarre composed Oxygene in 1976, and Close Encounters were released in 1977, I wonder if John Williams ripped of his music, or the ARP technician who operated the synthisizer in the said movie :))
