  • Hearing this for the first time, and i'm thinking, this is a true sincere and heartfelt Tribute from one legend to another. Its a very tasteful way to do it. If he had of tried to do an exact copy, it may have looked like he was either showboating, or not doing the tune justice, however it's hard to please everyone.

  • why is every one saying Eric is shit, so fuck its the thought that counts, im happy that people still care a bout Gary, thank you Clapton Gary will be proud!

  • Some songs just need to be left alone. Sorry Eric, didn't do it for me. As a matter of fact, most of your guitar playing doesn't do anything for me. So, leave Gary Moore and SRV songs out. If you cant play them and make them better, leave them alone.

  • you dipshits eric respected gary as a guitar player when eric couldn't play for george harrison he reccomended gary moore to play look it up

  • @Retromantra Well said Retro!

  • I admire Clapton but I do not like this version. Gary Moore plays and sings it much better. Does not sound anywhere close to the original.

  • @dictator54

Eric Clapton is quoted as having said about Jimi Hendrix "You never told me he was THAT fucking good."

  • @gav25x r u a guitar player?

  • There is a great deal of great guitar players gary was one of them the reason hendrix has always been # 1 is because thhe guitar was like another arm it took no effort for jimi he was a natural guitar player, a great guitarist and i'm sorry i forgot his name went on to say that there won't be another hendrix in his lifetime

  • @scottyluvsguitar Reverand!

  • gav try to play this in that emotion.. gary inst better just different and also (most of his time) borring Eric can play every note right, but for that you must be a musician to understand this

  • @optimuskgb Sorry, that's just not true and you obviously cannot answer what those things were. Clapton is a great player but so was Gary Moore, so is Dave Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, Paul Kossof, Martin Barre, Mark Knopfler and dozens of others. If anyone could do things different, it was Hendrix.... So what were those things again optimuskgb???
