I'll wait till I see SRAM's answer to this.
Not that I can afford either version of Di2. ^_^

technology is good other manufacturers who dont like to upgrade will be left behind or spend millions of money in R&D just to catch-up or worst to close their business!
if you can afford have the money to buy it why not?
but if your happy or dont have that kind of budget for me i think the basic design and cable system i good enough .
in the case of pro riders everything for them is good they will ride any components or bikes because they get paid to...

@dahgutone i have it on my bike. I am not a pro rider and its increadibly fast. It is way faster than any other groupset. it is far easier to win races with this.
-
@Microglia1 no way dude, fabiano is right. not all technology is good. some (a lot) is just over-engineered fluff.
I read somewhere, with any new technology, a good question to ask it "what is the problem for which this technology is the solution?"
-
@fabianomoto well, if everyone thinks like you, we'll all be riding single speed and live in huts with kerosene lamps.

Looks like Campy is left behind in the dust, with shrunken market share, stupid management, and faulty designs, which don't even look good anymore.
-
fuck me, what a rip off. Seems no reason to change. I can change smoothly with my cables, always have. I can keep them 1000's of dollars in the bank.

rubbish...

Too bad many ProTour riders still choose Red or SR11. Real pity. Really missing out on all the good stuff.

@INGRox haha! this looks amazing and im very jealous! currently riding 2010 ultegra and loving it.
ENJOY!
Me too. The system is too complicated for you local bike shop. It's pretty useless because today's top shifters already shift well.
If you were a PRO rider, I guess it's great to have. Because your sponsors will take care of everything. But for any other competitive rider, it's not worth the money.

That will be a hoot when someone loses a stage and blames it on their front mech battery.
