Another gift from a good friend. Has ALL attachments including shampooer, Handy Butler polishing system, Rug Renovator, and many other above-floor tools. Notice the tape on the front head...it's supposed to have a plexi-glass insert in it, but the belt over time had melted a hole right through it. I would love to get a glass piece to fit it. I'm only the second owner of this machine since 1979.

  • I have a Kirby just like that. I am trying to restore it right now. Do you know a good place to find all kinds of replacement parts? Thanks!

    P.S.- Nice Video! :)

  • @PutToTestVacuums Well, I work at my local Kirby distributorship every now and then when they need a hand. It's like a vacuum junkyard in the back of the store. I'm sure I can find you whatever you need, used. If you need new parts I'm sure they can be ordered. BTW I'm in Florida so parts may need to be shipped.

  • Does this Tradition have a locking headlight cap that went with the safety switch that is deemed unsafe?

  • @ClassicTVMan81 No, this one doesn't have that. I have recently heard about those. I'd love to see a machine with that switch on it.

Those early examples also had the metal fans. The serial range is from #F000001 to #F500000.
