  • The music industry in the USA is just another capitalistic venture. If you create art...whatever it is - visual, auditory, both...someone else is going to make money off of it. And THEN, the Government is going to tax it. (if they catch it) Sad, isn't it?

I urge you all to check out some other great posts of great electric guitarists....like Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa....I rest my case.

  • Funny thing is Gary Numan is hanging on to the coat tails of NIN and Marilyn Manson's music these days. And I adore Gary's album up until probably Exile. Everything album since then sounds like the one previous.....IMHO !

  • Bill reminds me of Elton John now.

  • enter the mp3

  • gary numan's changed now though. he'd liek to explain his new take on music.

  • I did not realise what a switched on guy he is. No self importance whatsoever and he talks a lot of sense. Good on Bill, a very interesting interview. Many thanks for posting.

  • My jaw kinda' dropped when he said the record company actually told him "they weren't looking for any huge returns, let's see about the 3rd album". But there just isn't the artist development that there used to be. There are quite a few great bands that didn't hit their stride 'til 2-3 albums in. Nowadays the record co.s take bands that have a good/great first album and push them to "strike while the iron's hot", the resulting in a mediocre, if not downright bad 2nd, 3rd, etc. album.

  • Thanks for posting this. I've loved Bill Nelson's work for many years, but I've never heard him speaking. All the best.

  • Thanks so much for posting these. Bill has meant so much to me.
