Neil Anderson, Professor of Human Resource Management at Brunel University, discusses the past and future issues in occupational psychology. Issue one relates to the level of application of substantial and robust scientific evidence. Issue two concerns the status of the profession. Neil believes the way forward is for the profession to consolidate past successes.
Professor Neil Anderson is committed to an international perspective in work psychology and human performance. He has published in several areas spanning human resource management and organizational psychology. Professor Anderson is currently a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield, and the City University, in London.
Professor Anderson has previously held chairs at the University of London, Goldsmiths College, and the University of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, in the USA, and the School of Management, Zhejiang University in China, and is now one of the top five most cited Industrial Organizational Psychologists in Europe.
Professor Anderson is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology.
