You guys are idiots. even the highest level cricketers do sthis as preseason training to get there technique right. the reason he is underarming it is because he is getting the batsmen used to the ball skiding on and staying low. it is also so it forms the batsmen to hit down on the ball.

What? generally your going to sweep spinners, why are you just underarming a ball and not putting any spin on it?

@Phositis - it's a simple drill.......making the execution of the shot as easy as possible.....putting spin on and over arming are step ups

this was really usefull............dont worry about the bad commentors.....they think they know cricket but they are the worst players...............this made me hit 26* not out in a six over match where i batted only 4 overs :).............thx

I find it amazing the ignorance of the vast majority of people posting comments on youtube, Funny how everyones an expert but doing nothing themsleves!!

Anyone who knows anything about cricket coaching starts off with underarm deliveries then works up to facing proper match type bowling. It's about LEARNING to walk before you run. Idiots.

Thanks for this clip guys. Would you be looking to sweep only on balls pitched at leg or outside leg?
