The early Joe Pass album "Simplicity" is one of my favorites. Everything on it is "simple", but very deep and concentrated with intelligence, logic and passion. I love to sit and play along with the whole album at home - it always puts me in a good mood. Here, I turned on the Mac camera during one of these sessions. I hope to upload more tunes from the album. Sorry, but I don't have a written transcription of this solo, I learned it just by playing along (the old fashioned way). I hope you enjoy, and if you don't own this album, please go purchase it asap! http://danadler.com

  • Having watched another Adler-clip first, I was astonished to suddenly see Dan play left-handed. Initially astonished by such an unwordly display of ambidexterity, I suddenly noticed the mirrored "Gibson" on the headstock and concluded this clip was shot in the mirror. No camera to be seen however, which means the video itself must have been reversed, and why anyone would do that is beyond me. But hey, who cares, the playing is excellent.

  • @ArkyMalarkey Thanks for the nice words, and sorry about the mirror image. It was the Mac built-in camera which flipped the image...

  • Well played, and learning from one of the greatest of all time. It always a pleasure to hear you playing. By the way I got your CD. Love it!

    Take care.

  • @jazzyedwin24 Thanks - glad to hear you like the CD!
