I got mine in 1984, Ft Ord, CA, 7th Infantry Division. There were no training or practice in preparation for the EFMB course. Came out of 12 weeks desert warfare training, Ft Irwin, and had no idea what I was getting myself into. The attrition rate was unbelievable...lots started but never finished. The most memorable part of it was the 12 mile forced road march that went through the mountains above Laguna Seca Raceway... LIGHT FIGHTER MEDICS...ROCK ON!
I think you should have to earn your EFMB before you can wear the CMB. Qualify for the CMB - then come back to states - pass the EFMB - then be able to wear CMB.

@avermillion I dont have either, but if you earn something in combat...you shouldn't have to prove yourself any other way to qualify for it.
