Although Canadian drum corps were solid performers, competing in the American market killed Canadian drum corps. The money was never there. most Canadian drum corps are gone due to financial problems.Too bad, because DCI is really not international anymore,is it?
MAN! I was sitting in the audience watching this show live way back then!!!! (yeah i know, if you were watching this from the stands, you didn't make finals.....) still had a ball. what ever happened to the Optimists? what happened to all the Canadian Corps that Competed in DCI back the early days?
I had marched w/ 2 guys that marched snare @ Seneca the next couple years. I always thought that coming from the Toronto Optimists, that's exactly what you were known for. That 5 man snare line the last year before the merger was amazing!! (Actually, my corps from New York state had bought the old Seneca Princemen uni's)
