  • @football4655 American football hits are a lot harder than rugby and Australian football because of the nature of the game, hence the padding and helmets. Without them, there would be a lot of blood, broken bones, and serious head and neck injuries. I'm not saying the game is better or tougher than those other games, just that it's genuinely different and it requires different equipment.

  • I didn't see any save

  • Af players are generally faster and you get blindsided more often in AF

  • @jamesgd7 Well Bush only tried to kick once - plus attempt to save some penalties

  • i genuinly love both sports. being english im more interested in soccer but playing madden and watching nfl is great. i think though Beckham is more all round athletic is probably good at most sports meanwhile Bush would only really be good at NFL

  • @CrusaderAttack No its not Rugby has been shown to be pound for pound harder in tackles then AF, But your right it's all about the sport!

  • @wiganerrmc tackle technique is radically different

  • @000EatMan000 the tackels are the same same rules and everything

  • @wiganerrmc i disagree. football hitting technique is all taught with the idea of padding in mind, which is why its more of a missile/spear than a drag/push like in rugby. if you had played in pads your guys would've been laid out play after play. of course they are going to play bad with no padding. they're used to flying after the ball and leading with the head, then you remove the padding and they feel naked. rugby technique is vastly different than football technique.

  • sports science specifically analyzed rugby hits vs. football hits and the padding of football players makes the typical hit far more powerful than the typical rugby hit. however, because the players are wearing padding that distributes the force, the power felt by that player ends up being about the same as the less powerful, but non padded hits by rugby players. it was an interesting experiment.

    so its a tie basically.

  • @123helmet football players run faster and the hit would be harder, and rugby hits are not as dead on as football hits lets be honest
