WASHINGTON, D.C. - -Academy Award Nominee and Golden Globe Nominated Actress, Taraji P. Henson, was of the many celebrities who attended the 2009 Howard University Alumni Fashion Show at the JW Marriott, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., NW on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 12:30 p.m.
A native Washingtonian, Ms. Henson graduated from Oxon Hill High School and Howard University as a Theater Arts Major. In addition to her recent roles in The Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonandI Can Do Bad All by Myself, Henson has also appeared in top television shows including: Boston Legal, House, and CSI: Las Vegas.
After a hiatus, the Howard University Alumni Fashion Show has been re-tooled, bringing in Washington, D.C. native and New York style expert Stephany Greene, whose unique talents have shaped the success of prominent American brands including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Perry Ellis. This year Greene will serve as the Executive Producer. With Greene on board, and national retailing brand, Bloomingdales as the shows anchor, this years event will feature collections from Badgley Mischka, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and other famous labels.
