@reid77 I think Sleater-Kinney fans, or even just most listeners, projected their own notion of what Sleater-Kinney "was" onto the band.

Sleater-Kinney should be taken seriously as a band, but not "seriously" like they were prophets with an agenda.

It happens with artists who use the word "you" a lot in their lyrics...as if they're saying something important to "you".

I know Carrie probably hates to hear this, but I see this in a completely different way since seeing so much of her on "Portlandia." I know I'm supposed to take it seriously but I find it harder to do that. Still a great tune, though.
