it's Lacottes version, how many Taglioni one never knows. But still Beautiful choreography.

In answer to ballenut...yes, the ballerina Taglioni choreographed this ballet. It was the only time she did so and it was for her protege, the young ballerina Emmy Livry. The ballet was a triumph but, sadly, Emmy Livry died shortly thereafter when her costume caught fire on a stage gas light during a rehearsal.

Marvellous and absolutely delightful.
Was the choreography by Taglioni the dancer? The reason I ask is that I thought she just danced and didn't do choreography as well.

Thia is really lovely, two wonderful Russian Stars, a piece of history in the making if only more of these original works were performed nowadays. Thank you so much for posting this.
