A tribute for Ann Sheridan (1915-1967).

Born Clara Lou Sheridan in Denton, Texas she originally wanted to become a school teacher until her sister submitted her photo for a star search contest. Coming to Warner Bros. in the late '30s, she was christined "The Omph Girl" as means for an "IT Girl" type of appeal.

In the late 1930s and early '40s, she co-starred opposite such actors as Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Olivia de Havilland, Erroly Flynn, Ida Lupino.

In 1942, she was the scene stealer from such stars as Bette Davis, Monty Wooley, and Jimmy Durante in "The Man Who Came to Dinner".
