@LunarPaint Most people just hear chaos or "too much for too long" you have to pay close attention to what is going on. To me it does not sound like random scales or blast beats I just hear groove and catchy riffs. That's why most people dont like it, you really have to think about what is going on and eventually it will come naturally. Constantly thinking "ooh thats a nice twist here wow that bridge or tempo change was really original"

@LunarPaint ok, I have a question for you on the rap.. how many of todays "youth" or just people that listen to rap music will listen to Lupe Fiasco and childish gambino or even better, do they even know who it is? :) the rap everyone listens to are the commercial artists, those are the ones that is only about bitches and hoe's and cars and my 8 inch, 24 carat gold Dollar sign around my neck. Conformity of the masses, these trend followers are all fucked and pretty much poor forever.

My issue is that it's too much for too long. Everything is really complicated and intricate and I give them props for that but it feels that everything is just to clumped up. Does that makes sense?

@turbocpt1 Rap is more than just bitches, and material possessions. Check out Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino, and some of Kanye's older stuff. Just because it requires skill and I can't do it doesn't make it any more pleasant to listen to. Watch a professional game of Starcraft. You'll be bored as hell but that doesn't mean there is a lot of skill involved.
