A BNSF Autoracks train passes through Old Town, San Diego on its way North. We caught this train thanks to my scanner that I got for my birthday. It is led by ES44DC GEVO 7304. Trailing are C44-9Ws 5405, 4819, and 4450. The train had 69 cars including 4 articulated double autoracks. 7304 had a terrible K5HLL. Go to http://bnsffan.webs.com/ to see more awesome railfanning stuff.

Enjoy!

  • I wished one of the 3 Dash 9s lead that train instead of that GEVO.

  • Me too. It has been months since I've seen a Dash 9 leading the DAYGO or the Autoracks!

  • MAN! The horn on that BNSF SUCKS!

  • I hate K5HLLs. I wish BNSF would ignore noise complaints and just stick with their K5HLs.

  • nice job Stephen, glad you got to see the Autos!

  • thanks

    What's wrong with a GEVO?

  • I wonder why BNSF start putting GEVOs on the Daygo? In 2008 there were Dash 9s and classic power then in 2009 and onwards they put GEVOs on the train.

  • Isn't there another one that goes to San Bernardino?

  • I think this Auto rack train goes to Clovis, New Mexico.

  • What was that train's destination?

  • It sounds like somebody throwing up.
