dogs are not like people, and yes domination over a dog is good. i can get my dog to react like that without touching him, not in fear but he knows im the boss. but then! he shows his teeth and growls so he THINKS hes got me, no way sir, i cant even grab my dog to put him outside when hes being a real shit head because he knows im mad so hell bite me.

yeah...I laugh at this. Try this with a dog who had been homeless on a farm for a year, like my dog, and he gets up and laughs at you....yep, keep thinking that dogs are like people.....

It's funny how folks get bent out of shape about whether or not dogs are like people. The truth? Yes, in some ways. No, in some ways. Interestingly, I used to be an elementary school teacher. My first year, I had trouble with discipline. It got much easier when I started to use bits & pieces of dog handling techniques on the little munchkins. LOL!!
