In the summer of 2010, IndigoSun embarked on a wild journey to Chillicothe, with only one mission: play at our campsite in the forest at SummerCamp Music Fest. And that we did, bringing one of the most unique, homegrown musical experiences to the festival with our guerilla stage. Backed by an engrossing light rig, we sent out vibrations of love, exuberant joy, and overall funky goodness to any who stumbled into our Moon Party. Our goal was to give something back to the festival community, and encourage everyone to get involved in the boogie down. Hundreds if not thousands of people passed through our campsite over the course of the three days we played, and everyone left enriched, enlivened, and empowered to share their good energy with the world. Many commented on how inspired they were by what we did, how good it felt to take part in this happening that blurred the line between audience and performer. One person even asked if we were STS9 throwing down a secret set!
This video is an excerpt of a jam inspired by the IndigoSun song "Amethyst Temple" (check out a video of it from the Kinetic on our YouTube page), featuring Kyle and Lucas of IndigoSun, and Matt Rezetko of Chicago favorite Raoul Duke on drums.
I was definitely one of those who stumbled across this awesome site! Hope to see you guys again this year
