Smugglers tunnels in Brewerytown, North Philly?

In their attempt to contour the future of Brewerytown in their own image, Westrum Development has been demolishing historic buildings at 31st & Master. A few days ago, they unearthed what appear to be smugglers tunnels likely dating back to the Prohibition Era. Long-time neighbors believe that the tunnels should be preserved for future generations, with tours being operated by residents as a means of ensuring that the economic growth of Brewerytown benefits more than the hostile gentrifiers that have become our new neighbors.
