Not the worst part of Katrina by any means, but here are some of the wind gusts that I recorded before my Aunt made me come inside. The yard was already flooding, and one of the trees was rocking back and forth. My Aunt kept saying "Hold your ground, tree, hold your ground!" The tree did end up falling on the house, but thankfully not on us!

  • Let me remind everyone that this was way before it got bad, and most of everything south of this house was destroyed. I couldn't get any of that on video. This was on Gautier-Vancleave Rd. not far from the college. I was staying with my parents, aunt, and elderly grandmother there. I lost everything in Pascagoula.

  • what part of Gautier was this in? I used to live in Pt Clear but that home was washed away.

  • Its amazing with all the water ther those trees didn't fall sooner in that wind.
