Mayor not convinced, Gareth pressed record on cell, held aloft like Olympic torch, strode bravely forward across the dead space of Jackson Square, shouting in defiance: I ignore you, I ignore you! Lunatic woman sprang for attention, Gareth kept her steady in view finder, she halted, drooling, slurring, nothing left to say. Others sprang, Gareth turned, scanning the camera over excruciated faces. They were repelled and sedated. The Mayor excited, gave orders, the police released the phones.

i was there at this year mardi gras but didnt witness the shooting incident. But I did see alot of crime and violence in new orleans during my stay. But i did have fun watching the parade and get wasted.

N O was the murder capital in this country. Anyways its still a nasty shithole. I went to mardi gras once years ago and I would never go back to N .O.Its dirty,nasty,stinky, and the people arent that nice.

@mikefromthepearl - I just saw on T.V were three black guys was just punching and kicking one lone white woman. Talk about cowards. When the tables turn on them then it's "lets go call Al Sharpton" and sue the city, blah, blah, blah.
