@syncstation We don't "wave" per say here in GA. It's more of a just throwing your hand out in a flat fashion with all fingers together as you pass each other. 99% of the time the other biker returns it.

Dunno about the universal greeting wave - I think it's a bit faggy here in Oz. A simple nod of the head to a sports bike rider or either nothing and a middle finger to a harley rider is appropriate.
