Modesto Copwatchers get arrested downtown

Officer Lemus, Oaxaca, and Sgt. Tate of modesto police had to lie in order to arrest two copwatchers for loitering.

no one else was cuffed for loitering orobstructing a sidewalk because no one else was giving them a hassle. no shit you guys were singled out, if they had of talked to anyone else and told them to move along you copwatch dumbasses would have gone over with friendly advice of "you don't have to talk to him or consent to any questions" and gotte yourselves involved either way. They just got you guys first and problem solved.

spotlight-figuring out if you guys had any weapons or were a threat, and since you're pointing a camera at them, which is completely legal in most situations i agree, they're pointing a spotlight at you, again which is completely legal. the 3 girls they were "questioning" the one was clearly drunk and your bitchy voice pops in saying just keep walking, if they wanted to be dicks they could have arrested her for public intoxication.

@DJODDD And what do YOU reccommend?? Blind obedience to every command legal or illegal, just because it came from a cop?? Cops don't know JACK about law. They proved it in this vid when they had to let all of these "arrested" people go because they couldnt find a legitimate charge to arrest them on. These people know the law. Don't consent, but don't resist. There are lots of good cops. They were not represented here, and this group of cops were not the baddest of the bad...just annoying.

@joeywhite18 Citizens are allowed to observe and audio/videotape the conduct of our public servants. It's our LAW!! No one stuck a camera in any cops face. The cops went out of their way to get close to those with a camera. Sorry joey! The days of blind obedience to being commanded by a cop are gone. The cop must act within the LAW the same as a citizen. Taxpayers are getting tired of seeing their money being paid for lawsuits because of power hungry bully boy cops.

These people are just asking for trouble, the police are out doing their jobs and the so called "Cop Watchers" are basically harassing them and sticking a camera in their faces. How would you feel if you were trying to do your job and someone comes up, films you, then when you ask them to leave you alone all they say is "I have a right to observe the public." This is pointless and just shows how people will to anything to antagonize the ones who protect them.
