  • Although I used a figure of a mixer, what I stated was that your clinical information may be stored along with the information from other practices. Many EMR systems that are web-based use shared server hosting. This could lead to decreased performance, a potential increase in security issues, and a possible ban of the shared IP address if others on your shared server engage in malicious activity. But, not enough time to get into those issues. Maybe another video. Thanks for your comment!

  • mmm.... why storing information for various practices is a disvantage? digital information can't get "mixed" like paper...
