Tasman Richardson
Canada 2000 Video 3 min

Abstract narratives woven from 8 bit video signal primitive, yet yielding a multitude of textures, tones and expressions. Steady predictable pulse, interference, turbulent noise laced with melody harmony and layer upon percussive layer without resolution, peace, fulfillment. Edited within the context of musical time signature resulting in a work which is both visually compelling and musically lyrical.

The ifpod project is an experiment in polymorphous dissemination aimed at infiltrating the mobile YOUniverse with a unique collection of ten Canadian video art works - on the down load for any and every possible screen.

  • Is this a ROM for an actual VCS? It's very reminiscent of some of my 16-128 byte experiments on the machine, though this one is probably in the 1-4k size range.

  • All of a sudden I want to play Combat

  • It would have helped if that high tone hadn't been so fucking annoying. Nice beat though.

  • It what terminator see's when his advanced chip is exchanged for a trusty old 6502 processer!
