That's old school magic at work. The soldiers in WWII used to do that kind of thing all the time. Now all you have to do is make a transmitter to go with it, or make an FM receiver.
Good Job. If you use a pair of computer speakers, you can substitute the ear piece with a headphone jack, and then plug the headphone jack into the side of the speakers. When using the headphone jack, you have to be very delicate with the positive wires. Be sure to leave pleanty of wire leading from the actual jack to where you cut the wires from the headphones, allows for mistakes when trying to connect up the respective connections, be sure to sand off the insulation on the positve wires
