Hi Ethan, if your memory is showing short then try each of the memory modules one at a time in the system. This is the best way to check if there is a fault with any of your memory modules, if there is a fault and it's a Crucial module we will arrange an exchange under our life time warranty.

iam looking into the samsung series 7 gamer, yellow version and iam lost. it only comes with 8 gigs and iam looking to put 16 into it. what i cannot find answers to is if the 8 gigs it comes with is located in bottom or under keyboard. if it has ram under keyboard and i was to add 2 8 gig sticks to underside would it register the ram total...confusing

I would recommend contacting Samsung and see if they have that information on file. They would be the best source for that information.

Did it snap into place when you installed it? It can take up to 20-30 pounds of pressure to install that it is installed. If you are still having trouble installing please call us at 1-800-336-8915. Thank you.

Check newegg (just search for Newegg, it should come up). Then go to Computer Hardware > Memory > Laptop memory, and you should see a bunch of options. Hmm... There seem to be several types of laptop RAM (I've always preferred desktops)... So I would check somewhere in your usermanual to see what kind of RAM exactly that you should be getting. Then once you know that, you can also narrow by price and maybe rating (though if you go by reviews and stuff, be sure to check other places).

That really depends on the model of the computer. You can buy sticks of it in 1 Gb, 2 Gb, 4 Gb, or 8 Gb versions, so even if you only have one slot, you can still double your RAM.
