  • That isn't Richard singing, is it? I don't know about "early hip-hop" b/c I think there was a lot of this around. Berry also did a great one called "Next Time" which is fairly similar to this one...wonderful stuff! thanks for this one!

  • The first time I heard this cut I about had aheart attack from laughing... amazing that there is a video of it!

  • This is a great song, which was originally written by Richard Berry, author of LOUIE LOUIE. It's been covered by Sammy Davis Jr & Mojo Nixon.

  • yes ma man this is 1950's hiphop and rock and roll r&b sound carzy but ture thay use 2 rap in the 50's that where rap come from becuz say if I wanted 2 talk 2 u I would say let me rap 2 u ma man or daddy o and u would say yea ma man I digg I digg day cat daddy lol that's how thay talk in the 50's 2 the early 80's

  • The version I've got is funnier than this and actually features the words `Get Out of The Car' told to his reluctant female date. It has been tamed down a little for this audience.

  • Solid gone. a little early hip-hop maybe?
