I was having an idle issue with my engine. I first thought it was the MAF that was going bad, but after a close inspection, i found i had an air leak under my throught body. A plugged air tube was cracked.

  • Where did you get that cold air intake? And how much.. I would like to buy one.. Possibly yours if your willing to sell

  • @dtsinajinnie Sorry bro. Not looking to sell it, at least not yet. I guess i'll keep you in mind if i do. I've had it for a while now. I think they no longer make them, or hard to find.

  • which pipe was broken / leaking? i have the same issue and was looking towards the idle control valve, but now i see this video i will wait! The reason the engine runs ok with the MAF disconnected is because without the MAF data the ECU increases the idle speed of the engine as a fail safe measure

  • @bhm1712 Hey buddy. There's a plugged niple on the rear of the intake. It's right under the throttle body. The cap the covers it is plastic, and have cracked. So yeah, it was getting unmetered air. Pluged it and now works just fine.

    Good luck.

  • There is probably an air leak underneath the throttle body. Air tube maybe cracked?
