i saw these yesterday and the first thing i said about them was they sounded just like foals. but overall they have got some individuality about themselves, every band is different in their own way, plus they were good live.

the tall guitarist from minaars was in a band called tired irie that were on the same label as foals and foals first gig was supporting tired irie, they used to play together alot. foals were at minaars gig the other night in nottingham watching them

Actually Foals first gig was supporting the singer from Minnaars old band who according to him sounded a lot like Foals first album. At the time of the gig Foals were still playing with Andrew Mears and sounded more like the Try This On Your Piano single than anything from Antidotes. Just to let you know.

tbh, think of how similar loads of bands are nowadays, just because foals are supposedly seen as 'individual' everyone has a go at minnaars when theyre not even that similar, if you really think they are that similar you're obviously a genre scenester and have no idea about the actual form of this type of music
