Khmer Condom Use PSA

This was the final project of my Advanced Khmer class at UC-Berkeley for fall semester 2008. Basically, it's a series of Public Service Announcements promoting condom use in a modern Cambodian context. In addition to the video, the students had to produce a Khmer flyer/pamphlet on the same topic as the video.

Both...the assignment was for the students to create a PSA on a real topic relevant in Cambodia today, but humor in the presentation was encouraged!

When I worked with UNTAC in Cambodia back in 1992-1993 we had Cambodian Artists create some of the first STD prevention literature that Cambodians had known. Unfortunately some of the UNTAC soldiers from various countries came into that country infected with HIV and thus HIV entered Cambodia where it had not existed before. Congratulations on this very amusing video; I hope it is widely seen by Cambodians in Cambodia and that that was the purpose of your project. More effective than UN's.
