OK, so I can't make JD's octave, but I really like this song and I think it's one of his best. Here's my version.

I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky

Wow What a Groovy Sound!

guitar has a really nice sound to it, a little tinie. Its a great song to play and sing, I have loved JD since I first heard him back in 1972 or so. My step sisters and I would sing those songs of his while I playted the 12 string.
