What Garrincha does to Wilson and Flowers (or is it Moore?) at about 5:25 is just incredible

Garrincha: The best winger of all time without a doubt. Ray Wilson: One of the best left defenders of all time. I think it is a absolutely amazing effort by Wilson to contain Garrincha at his very peak this well. I would still have to say that Garrincha won the match in the match against Wilson but not with such a great margin as he did in all the other games of this World Cup.

AH!

wilson tackled him twice and rest 20 duels garrincha won!!!

some silly comments about effectiveness here,really....there's a saying in brazil that dribbling doesnt win world cups unless your talking about garrincha. he was BOTH spectacular and effective as well as the most voluminous dribbler in terms of how much he dribbled. to be the dominant force behind a world cup win you have to be effective and thats precisely what he was for all his undoubted showmanship. all the best judges of football consistantly rate him the greatest dribbler ever

I can´t believe that!
Where´s the sound???
This was the best video because the voice of BBC´s man saying: "oh my god! Even the other guys is applauding this wonderful player: Garrincha!"
please dayhan, can you fix this?
This video is a very important history document!!

it was probably His best match in national team. (i wish quality of video was better - as against Spain... GOD!). anyway, i love this english commentary - who was this man? was it Kenneth Wolstenholme?? i love the quote: "now, Garrincha Wilson battle again...". this match was a real battle between Them both.

It's difficult to find a more entertaining player to watch. He just loved to dribble, and he did better than most.
The greatest dribbler of all time? No, a swedish right-winger, Roger Magnusson, who played in the french team Olympique Marseille in the late 60's and early 70's had even greater dribbling skills. If you google on "merveilleux magnusson", you'll find a 13 min video from 1969 about him.

maybe He (Roger) was a good (very good) dribbler. I have watched video which You recommend and there is not so much His dribbling skills to watch (few footages). I can agree that He had a little bit similar trick to Garrincha (balance to the left and go to right). But I don't know if we can compare these two.

Garrincha is of course more well known, but in France they believe that the three greatest dribblers of all time are Stanley Matthews, Garrincha and Roger Magnusson. Roger Magnusson was a phenomenon with dribbling and ball juggling skills that was a joy to watch, he not only took on one or two players, but often three, four or five before making very accurate passes, especially to his partner up fron, Josip Skoblar (44 goals 1970-71!!).

I could agree. Garrincha is more well known. Thats a problem with Magnusson that He is not well known (I heard about Him first time) and there is not so many footages to watch. I didn't see Him in action so it would better for me to not rate Him. Anyway, even about Garrincha, personally I don't think that He is the best dribbler of all time (for me 'the best' mean the most effective), but probably one of the most spectacular and the most often dribbling player (this I'm sure).
