hi there i just bought myself rapala jointed rap shad jsr-05..so can u plz tell me how effective is this lure for masheer..ive been tryin to find the best lure in most of the tackle shop coz im planing to fly back to himalayam country to catch some masheer and dont want to be back empty handed...Can u plz recomend something for me plzzzzzz

Not sure about the Rapalla lure but the Rapalla countdown series silver/grey work well. Also worth a try are silver spoons or if nothing else works fishing with atta will catch small Masheer up to 5 to 10 lbs. If the masheer are realy on thr feed they are not too fussy !

@CHUKA2007 hey my fren u just talked to me about atta i wonder u from nepal or india? last time i i talked to u about the lure n u tip me about rapala lure buddy but all of sudden u make me no point about rapalla lure..and all of sudden u recomend me about atta?????????????????r u professoinal or just a fluke sports fisherman dude.

coz i really need to catch those masheer so can u tip me something better than ur guess plz thanks.......

Rapalla,s do work but my point is other lures and baits are often as good depending on the situation. Im in the Uk so a bit out of touch at present. However the latest info I have from friends and also going on my own experience is to use different plugs including Rapalla, but also single hook flexible Plastic lures - variety of colours plus a selection of spoons and even 'Meps'. When nothing else works then try atta os deadbait.Carp lures could also be worth a try.

huuum pretty intresting fight with the masheer well i also cought masheer in fewalakes using home made bait but the spoon which is shown on the video was something ideal for me so can u please tell me wot exactly the spoon is called coz ill like to try that too......

hey jus keen to know where r u now?? the had rap u choose is too deep fishing in pame u will end of loosing it but is very good to troll in lakeside try to get floater for pame specially black and white colour j7 to j9 best of luck...

Interesting to see the legendary JM in action. He was kind enough to pm me following a post I did a few years back on another forum and we've corresponded on and off ever since. Anyone out there who fancies adventure fishing in Africa or Asia, then chances are Jim's already been there and done it.
