@larrycaning I'm so sorry, Larry. Enjoy her while you have her, and let her know you love her. She might forget your name, but she will still feel your love.

My Nanny has this terrible disease too..She lived with us in our apartment for two years, but her disease progressed further, to the point where we couldn`t help her. Now she has forgotten all of her family members, and does n`t even know her own name or recognize herself in the mirror. Four days ago she lost the ability to walk and in this past year, and she can only say small words. Its breaking my heart. When my Nanny was diagnosed I got angry and bitter towards God.Its the hardest thing yet
Oh Im only 11 and my meme is slowly going to die please pray for us.:(

My grandmother, grandfather and mother in law all have or are developing alzheimers...And my father has schizophrenia which can sometimes seem like alzheimers because he has lost all touch with reality. It's so hard to watch them go through this and not know what to do.

I am sooooo very sorry to hear that so many members of your family are being stolen by this terrible disease. I don't know about you, but as I watched my loved ones fade away, I withdrew and became very angry and bitter. If you are having similar reactions, promise me that you will PLEEEEEESE reach out to a support group. Make yourself go, even if you don't want to. None of us should face this kind of heartache alone.
Warmest hugs,
JL
