lolol if you trained your dog it wouldn't bite hard, as puppys need to bite.

@JojoTheJoCpuMaster ~If your pup bites you. You could say in a stern voice 'No' and point your finger at him/her. If your pup still continues to bite then Put it outside as it's ''punishment'' Or put it straight into it's bed. This will show him/her who's boss

@dumbassjoker don't worry it's nothing to worry about, because it's very young it will probably not listen. My technique is (which has worked for a number of pups) is to when it bites, tap it on the nose and say 'No' in a stern voice. If the pup continues to bite then put it outside as it's ''punishment.'' And if the pup STILL doesn't listen then when it bites just give it a very faint 'slap' on its thigh. This sounds cruel but it isn't it's showing the pup who's boss. Hope it helps

@dumbassjoker i had that EXACT same problem . and to make things worse , i own a hound , so when he gets excited , it hurts alot !! i just kept pulling his collar to the ground and pinning him down . and said no in a stern voice .. over time , he learned that he should not bite people ..

LOL!
I started reading your comment and was like; "Hey, that sure sounds familiar".
Then I noticed you have a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and so do I! I recognise so much in what you wrote.
How's your dog doing now?
-
@dumbassjoker Then do not give him any treats or toys or anything, if he still does it, then you kinda have to yell at him.

And how does the dog learn not to bite humans? He didn't get any correction when he put his teeth on human flesh as he would've by his mother for biting her. This training is only effictive in distracting the dog but not teaching him what you don't want him to do.

@womanofsoul1 haha i love staffordshire bull terrier <3 they are so cute. well my dog is not biting as much as he did befor, but he is so hyper, he's turning 1 year next mounth and he is the biggest baby ever! whenever he wants my attention he does this crazy looking somersault and starts rolling around on the floor hah he is so cute, so he often gets away with stuff XP

@dumbassjoker -I am laughing so hard right now! I can tell you are a very funny person. I hope you finally got your scotia duck tolling retriever trained. I have a blue nosed American staffordshire bull terrier. Talk about biting! He has teeth like a mini shark!! I feel like I am throwing myself into a pond of flesh eating fish (piranas) everytime I play with him!!

my dog is 8 weeks old, and he doesnt listen! i have tried screamin like a puppy, and he doesnt care. i have tried giving him a toy and he doesnt stop biting me, what more can i do!? i have tried some more things to that i found on youtube. he doesnt seem to listen at all, he is an nova scotia duck tolling retriever, if it´s anyone out there that have some ideas please share them with me!

Please visit the Doggone Safe blog at doggonesafe.blogspot.com and look through the tags for the "puppy biting" to see our series on how to stop your puppy from biting. Eight weeks is very young and the puppy needs to learn to bite and then to bite less so he know how to control the bite. My puppy which is 3 months old bites me very aggressively and barks at me. Yet he loves to kiss me and play around with me. Am I spoiling him and is he trying to boss me around. When I don't give him my finger so that he can bite he would start barking at me and start pulling my shirt and pants he is also a Maltese puppy. What is going on with my puppy, I'm hoping he doesn't grow aggressive, nor demanding.

@JojoTheJoCpuMaster It would be a great idea to take your puppy to puppy class and to spend time training with the puppy. He is most likely just trying to get you to play, but you don't want to reinforce biting and barking.
