a noisy politician like escudero will never get my vote.his never ending rant on tv really pisses me off.nakaka-inis ang mukha nya.puro reklamo.if a politician like him will make it to our country's senate, imagine how much chaos, how much bickering our country would suffer.but anyways, i congratulate him for successfully creating an image of an underdog, for successfully capturing the limelight on some of the administration's issues, for grand standing just for his selfish political ambition

To rant is to "shout and complain angrily at length." What sets apart Cong. Escudero from other politicians who, as you say, "rant," is that (1) he hardly raises his voice or loses his temper, (2) he sticks to the issues and does not engage in ad hominem arguments that do not strengthen his case. If the media gravitate to him, it's because he gets his point across clearly and logically, without the benefit of grandstanding.
