Dr. J. Buzz Von Ornsteiner aka Dr. Buzz discusses with television host Jack Ford and hostess Ashley Banfield, the psychological factors on why in a Florida trial, a murder defendant's tattoos may have become an issue for jurors.
Joseph Bearden faced the death penalty for repeatedly stabbing Ryan Skipper for being Gay, on March 14, 2007. Bearden has two dagger tattoos above and underneath his left eye. Under his right eye is also a small teardrop. On his neck, you can see the top of another tattoo that is an copra snake poised ready to strike. During jury selection, potential jurors were individually questioned as to whether the markings influenced them one way or the other as to the defendant's guilt. While in jail it was reported that Mr. Bearden was beaten up so severely he was admitted to the hospital because of his injuries. Bearden later got these tattoos to help survive jailhouse life. During jury selection, potential jurors were individually questioned as to whether the markings influenced them one way or the other as to the defendants guilt.
Ryan Skipper was beaten, stabbed 20 times and his throat slit. His body was then dumped by the side of a road in Wahneta, a small town outside Winter Haven, Florida. His car was abandoned at Lake Pansy. Bearden, an admitted methamphetamine addict, reportedly claimed to friends that he was doing the world a "favor" by killing Ryan Skipper whom he stated was a "faggot."
Joseph Bearden was convicted of second degree murder in addition to four additional counts on Friday February 27, 2009. He was sentenced to life in prison for the murder charge.

Oh sorry , my fault. I dont like gay people thats all. In Germany we got the freedom of speach, have you ever noticed that ?

  • @MrTheEvilgerman It seems Bearden was sentenced to life imprisonment, not death penalty.

  • @MrTheEvilgerman As it happens, I don't agree with the death penalty and think it would be better if none of these young men were killed. I don't think calling people freaks helps anyone's agenda. I guess some people are just mean and don't have the capacity to question the hate.

  • @roberoony

That is not fair, Bearden got the death penalty for killing only one gay freak !!

  • @MrTheEvilgerman No-one asked you to, what's it got to do with you? Mind your own business.

To my mind, murder is wrong, and that affects other people.

  • Oh god. A snitch. Stab that mofo. Haha. And wow, really. WELL, THIS GUY CAME IN, AND HAD A TATTOO ON HIS FACE, LET'S RELATE HIM TO CHARLES MANSON.

  • I sure would hope that body was lifeless. I love how the media is sooo godamn dramatic. It's like, yeah, I know. I'm pretty sure any body in this context is going to be lifeless.

  • manson has a swastica

  • In my mind it is not right to fuck another mens ass.............
