  • Beautiful tank and fish. I'm thinking about Rainbows. Wanted a peaceful colorful option over Cichlids.

  • Top set up and beautiful fish, 5*****

  • Let me guess... incisus, boesemani, lacustris, praecox and what looks like an australis from either Goyder River or Wonga Creek. How did I do? hahah. Mate awesome fishies. Love the setup.

  • @erboblex I agree. I don't believe in unnatural hybridisation. Given the rarity of some fish in particular rainbowfish it is important to maintain pure bloodlines. Never cross the I say. Some of us work hard to maintain these bloodlines and then to walk into a shop and see an incisus crossed with a boesemani is just heart breaking. Cheers

  • @Octobersky1770 Hi Mate, I can recommend some sites for you. If you google Home of the Rainbowfish you will find all the information you want. It is done by arguably the worlds best rainbowfish authors. Also you can visit the Australian and New Guinea Fishes Association website. Steve Parish published a book by Gunther Schmida on Australian Native Fishes which talks about rainbows and blue-eyes. Cheers

  • nice tank... I am want to learn more about Rainbow fish. I really like them but want to learn about them BEFORE I purchase them. Can you recommend any sites or books? I have an existing 46 gallon bowfront that is ready for some new fish. Thanks.

  • Ok so I am jealous of your tank for now but I am working on mine. just sucks I have to order most of my fish online. If a fish tank was something that could be stolen man I would steal yours. That's compliment on how much I like your tank.

  • Finally we agree! End of discussion as far as I'm concerned..

  • I detest all fancy forms of goldfish, or at least their breeders, as their digestive track is easily damaged without proper foods. But when you look closely at them, you'll agree that some forms of balloons are not THAT bad. Take the balloon ram, for example. Though it is disfigured, it isn't such that it hinders movement, or feeding capabilities. check it out.

  • I do disapprove all those variants.. Don't you feel sorry for blown-up goldfish, unable to swim normally, not to mention when they keep 'm in a bowl (of it's own pee)?
