I take a look at a new toy of mine.. the Nikon D1X. Keep in mind that this camera was release in 2001 so therefore is quite aged compared to today's dslr's.

  • nice review..just one thing..it's pronounced "nee-kon".. It's an interesting camera. ahaha

  • @xxgwyloxx

Haha yes I'm aware of the different pronunciations but here in the US most of us say it the way I say it. It is said differently in the UK as well. Just a difference of dialect.

  • hey, you said that there is software that increases the resolution.... what is it and where do you buy it? I just bought a d1h the other day to accompany my d80 and I feel like it might just be a better camera if i can get that software! haha

  • @brettanthonylayne It won't work with any camera but the D1X. It has to do with the D1X's number of linear pixels. Other cameras aren't set up the same way so it won't work.

  • I have a question.. Some guy want to give me D1x, but in a exchange for my Konica Minolta maxxum 7D... do you think it is fair?

  • I would say its best to check the specs on both cameras and determine the best option for yourself. You should consider the condition of both cameras and any advantages and trade-offs of making the switch. I'm not familiar with that model of Minolta so I'm sorry but I can't offer any other input. Good Luck!

  • my previous video was about Nikon D4... sad

  • Very useful review. I have just been given one of these babies with all kind of extras and wasn't sure where to start.

  • I just won a D1X on eBay. Should be lots-o-fun!. It is not full frame. It has a 1.5 crop factor...

  • i recently upgraded to a D90, but i still love to use my D1x.

great camera that reproduces wonderful tones that are hard to beat.

    nice review.

don't be fooled by the megapixel marketing scheme...this camera paired with a nice lens still kicks plenty of ass.

  • all these shots were taken with my D1X

  • Very nice review, I just ordered one Nikon D1X from Rajala Pro Shop from Finland... It was 299 euros, and I can't wait for me to get it. It seems to be, about your review, a very neat camera. They said that it's in very good condition... I also ordered a few lenses to it as well.

  • make sure the the lady buying it is not a nigerian con artist!

  • I LOVE MY CAMERA... I HAVE DIS EXACT ONE

  • @srvwannabe no, it's not that! the correct pronounciation is ni-kon, not nai-kon, the name is japanese wich don't have those diphthongs. :D

  • @armanimpressions its history but thats completely irrelevant to your statement about a p&s out shooting the d1x. im not "made" i just get annoyed people who say things without thinking. i did come at you kinda harsh though my bad.
