@ayamejoy Exactly!!! Asian hair is naturally straight so it would seem normal for him but for other cultures it's an entirely different story. You're free to do whatever you want with your hair as long as it makes you feel good and as long as you're confident about yourself. Just remember who you are and where you came from. All kinds of hair are beautiful and we can't just say only one kind is the right kind of hair.

@Xsighting101 Hey, I'm mixed to!! Black father and Asian mother. My hair is naturally "good". But I think all kinds of hair is beautiful, you just need to know how to work it. Straight, curly, wavy, kinky.... they're part of what makes us unique and beautiful. I love my hair!

Geeezzz black women wanting straight hair, and I chopped mine off because I was told I was too old for long hair. The fact is - a lot of money is made by convincing us that we need to "fix" ourselves.

wow, I think this is the "new thing" i learned today. I did not know that people put stuff like that in their hair to get it straight. (how sucky is it that the things that we think make us look good are the worst for us in the long run) such an unfair world.

Chris Rock made this very funny, but eye opening at the same time. I like it!! :]
